Mail od Grega tak mną wstrząsnął, że ze wzruszenia mało nie ścisnąłem go za gardło. (Pisząc “ja” mam na myśli oczywiście Stefana…).

No to mu odpowiedziałem. Oczywiście w pierwszych słowach wyraziłem żal z powodu brata. Niech wie, że ma do czynienia z człowiekiem wrażliwym. No a potem się spytałem, czemu tak tanio, czy auto aby nie trefne, czy wszystkie dokumenty w porządku, no i czy mam coś wpłacić wcześniej. A i jeszcze, napisałem, ze jaka to radość, że samochód jest w Lądku, bo ja akurat jestem w UK, no i że to auto jest dla moich rodziców, nie dla mnie.

Następnego dnia przyszła odpowiedź:

Hi Mr. Stefan, thank you for your sympathy regarding my brother, i appreciate, yes the car is in perfect condition and is a “cold” car regarding your “hot” car question, clear of any defects or legal obligations, no banking involvements. Yes i am in Florida but i do not have someone in London watching over the house or garage plus my presence is needed 100%, no need for payments in advance, i can come to London on 12th of February to meet with you and check the car, as for the meeting place, we will meet at the Sheraton hotel, is near the house and garage, address W Drayton Park Ave, West Drayton, UB7, England, or i may come with the car to a place of your choice.
Do let me know if the date of 12th suits you and if you can meet me at the Sheraton Hotel around 14:30 as my flight will land in London at the Heathrow airport around 14:00.

Jaki uczciwy sprzedawca! Adres nawet podaje, zaliczki nie chce, no i chce lecieć z ciepłej FLorydy do zimnego i mokrego Lądka.
No dobrze, no to trzeba się umówić w takim razie. Ale najważniejsze pytania w dalszym ciągu pozostają bez odpowiedzi. W jakiej walucie chce zapłatę? No i czy wszystko jest z Hondą jak należy? Czy ma jakieś dokumenty? Jaki jest numer VIN, co z podatkiem, co z rejestracją? No przecież samochód jest dla moich rodziców (którzy nie posiadają prawa jazdy, ale przecież samochód na wypasie posiadać mogą jak najbardziej). Na moje pytania Greg odpowiedział:

Hi Mr. Stefan, by place of choice i mean a known place/point in London, the car is currently unregistered, it has temporary plates and insurance valid until June, it has been unregistered by my brother as he wanted to register the car in Poland, he only paid the polish excise, i do not know if there’s something else to be paid in Poland, payment by cash would be perfect, as for currency i would prefer british pounds as i need to clear the rented house, but PLN would also be ok, i will make the conversion myself and we’ll avoid other misunderstandings.
As for the VIN and documents .. i’m afraid i can’t provide any of them at this moment as i do not have the documents with me in USA, i left the documents in the car’s glove compartment as i knew i would need them in London along with the car for the exchange, i understand and is normal that you wish to check the car first before flying to London so my only option to make this work would be if i come to London to provide you the documents and then wait for you to arrive in London in the next days and finish the exchange, we will also check the car at a car service when you arrive, for your peace of mind, you’ll see that the mileage is real and the car is in really perfect condition and as described, i really have no intention to make you come to London for nothing, i can not lie or omit something about the car because i am sure that you will not buy if it fails the closer inspection, on my end, i have to cross the ocean just to sell the car and my flight tickets are around 1200 USD, not to mention the 10 hours of flight – one way, it is a huge effort for me, so i really hope that this time everything will go as planned and i will not have the unpleasant experience of waiting for you in vain ..
So if you decide for example to meet in London on 14th of February, i will come to London with two days ahead of you, on 12th of February to provide you the VIN and the car’s documents, and after you check i will wait for you on 14th of February to arrive in London and complete the deal face to face.

No więc wszystko w porządku! Dokumenty są, Greg przyleci wcześniej i mi je podeśle. Mamuśka i tatuśka bedą mieli swoje (upragnione?) auto.
No tak się wzruszyłem (nie wiem, czy zauważyliście, ale to już drugie wzruszenie), że mało mi z nosa nie kapnęło na klawiaturę.
